Metoda

ACP (PRP) is the most advanced method of tissue revitalization by which the damaged tissue is regenerated and returned to its original state in a non-invasive way for all acute and chronic changes in joints, ligaments, tendons and muscles. It leads to the acceleration of physiological processes which aim at a faster and more efficient tissue healing and regeneration. The method is also unique as it uses the patient’s own blood in the healing process, thus preventing the risk of any allergic reaction.

For example, in the traditional treatment of ligament damages, ligaments grow together with connective tissue that does not have the same elasticity. The patient therefore suffers from permanent disability due to the loss of natural tissue without which there is no real, natural ligament function. Cases of joint cartilage loss (arthrosis) also lead to the weakening of the joint function, which causes pain and walking difficulties.

Thanks to this method, the damaged tissue is, before the injury or the degenerative disease, not lost but regenerates and returns to its original state as it was before. The recovery is also much faster and the method is painless.

The process is based on the action of specific proteins and growth factors which lead to the creation and growth of new cells. In this way the healing or regeneration of tissue is achieved by using natural mechanisms. We also increase the effectiveness of the treatment by conducting special preparations prior the implementation of the ACP method.

Complications

1. Infection

2. There is a possibility of method failure

3. Injection site pain and swelling

Contraindications

1. Pregnancy

2. Existence of infection

3. Active malignant disease

4. Recent use of corticosteroids

Procedure

After the preparation procedure, a blood sample is taken from the patient. A platelet concentrate (ACP) is then extracted from the blood by using a special centrifugal device, which is then injected into the injured tissue to regenerate and heal.

The whole process takes place under expert guidance, it is very precise and usually takes about 45 minutes. To achieve maximum precision during the application, we use ultrasonic and X-ray support when needed.
