Novusmed is the only one in Dalmatia specialized in the revitalization of injured tissue by implementing the biotechnological therapy ACP (PRP), i.e. by using plasma from the patient's own blood.

Novusmed introduces a novelty in using the ACP method in Croatia with its unique approach and the use of additional, state-of-the-art devices that improve the performance of this method.

“Autologous Conditioned Plasma“ (ACP) or “Platelet rich plasma“(PRP) refers to plasma prepared from the blood of a patient with an elevated platelet concentration.

Platelets contain more than 30 bioactive proteins that play a fundamental role in the healing and recovery process of the tissue, thus making it the most used non-surgical method in modern medicine in the repair of injuries and degenerative changes in bone and muscle tissue, ligaments, joints, cartilage, etc. for the last decade.

Novusmed was founded by the eminent Croatian traumatologist Prof. Vladimir Boschi, MD, PhD, who was born in Split in 1966. A specialist in general surgery, orthopedics and traumatology, he also holds a postgraduate degree in clinical pathophysiology and has many years of experience in traumatology and orthopedics. He has built his successful career as the main spine surgeon- trauma surgeon at the University Hospital Center Split over the past 15 years. He is an associate professor at the Department of Surgery (Traumatology) and Orthopedics at the School of Medicine in Split, who has contributed greatly to national medicine by conducting the first operation of vertebroplasty in the Republic of Croatia.

Prof. Vladimir Boschi is the author of numerous scientific papers and medical conference reports from the fields of traumatology, spinal surgery and orthopedics, the co-author of two textbooks and a mentor in the specialist medical programs in orthopedics and traumatology.
